Sail Number Registration
Under International Class rules, each country/region manages its own sail numbering system. Sail numbers are required for class sanctioned racing events and major events such as national championships.
USWCA offers racers two options for sail numbering in the US:
Purchase a personal sail number
Use your LT Hull Number (no purchase necessary)
Personal Sail Number
For those who wish to use a specific personal number or "vanity" number, members may choose any one, two or three digit number not already taken for their exclusive competitive use. The registration and associated fee will reserve your personal number for five years.

LT Hull Number
Alternatively, you may choose to use your unique Windsurfer LT hull serial number as your sail number. The number is located at the stern of the LT (see graphic below). This will mean your sail number will most likely have 4 digits. If you use this option, there is no fee and no need to register your sail number.
